We are proud to be locally owned and operated.

Gianna

Gianna started to pursue her career in veterinary medicine at an early age in her hometown of Okotoks, Alberta. She has nurtured a passion for working closely with animals and clients as a veterinary assistant in both emergency and specialty medicine, with a special interest in surgery. When she is not busy enjoying learning at the clinic she likes to listen to vinyl, create art and travel to countries around the world. She has plans to attend veterinary school abroad as she is always looking for adventures that bring her closer to people and animals.

Liv

Olivia grew up on a farm outside of Hanna, Alberta with her dog, cats, cows, sheep and horses! Liv attended Olds College after high school to complete her Veterinary Medical Reception program and moved to Okotoks to work as a Technician Assistant for 3 years in emergency medicine. Liv decided to enroll in the online Animal Health Technology Program through Thompson Rivers University and is currently still continuing her education. Her hobbies include playing hockey, barrel racing, and traveling!

In Livs spare time you can find her with her friends and family or hanging out with her German Shepherd Dog Kona!

Dr. Pinel

Dr. Pinel has had a very long journey to finally find his way to Alpine 24/7. His desire to become a small animal surgeon arose in his clinical year at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. He continued specialty training after graduation in 2005 with a rotating internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, surgical internship at a multi-specialty hospital in Colorado, orthopaedic research fellowship at the University of Minnesota, and finally a three-year residency at Florida Veterinary Specialists in Tampa. He became a board-certified member of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Small Animal) in 2012. Following amazing stints at private practices in Nashville Tennessee, Denver Colorado, and Lynchburg Virginia, Dr. Pinel returned home to Southern Alberta in 2018. He brings his passion for small animal surgery (especially cruciate disease [TPLO], fractures, cancer removal, decompressive spinal surgery, brachycephalic airway syndrome, etc.) and pain management to the professional and compassionate
environment of Alpine 24/7.
